The Art of Compromise: Mediating Issues at the BIIA

Mediation at the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals (BIIA) is a major part of the dispute resolution system for not only workers' compensation matters, but workplace safety and Labor & Industries other issues as well.

Led by former BIIA trial, mediation, and review judge Ann Silvernale of Holmes Weddle & Barcott, this unique, one-day workshop on the legal process of mediation at the Board is meant for all who participate, might participate, or would like to learn how to participate effectively in mediation. Attorneys, paralegals, case managers and consultants, third party administrators, medical providers - whose records or opinions are vital pieces of the mediation puzzle - would benefit from this workshop.

Our goal is to arm you with the tools necessary to successfully mediate claims and other issues, and to determine whether the case being discussed is worthy of further litigation.
