WSIA Partners with MedPlus Health Solutions for Hearing Loss Services

MedPlus LogoLate last week, word began filtering out over the wires about WSIA's recent partnership with MedPlus Health Solutions to provide enhanced services to employers and administrators on workers' compensation hearing loss claims.

MEDPlus Health Solutions, an industry leader in workers' compensation cost-containment, announced today they have been selected as the preferred vendor of hearing devices, supplies and services for the Washington Self-Insured Association as of July 1, 2014. WSIA is Washington's most trusted non-profit representative for self-insured employers. MEDPlus will provide Washington self-insured companies and Third Party Administrators the best possible solution for hearing related workers' compensation claims.  This partnership comes at a time when costs savings and claim turnaround times are of utmost importance.

Particularly of interest to WSIA members will be MedPlus's commitment to cost-conscious, relationship-driven, rapid turnaround on hearing loss claims. From the worker's perspective, each claimant is assigned their own care coordinator to personally walk them through the entire claims process until it has been completed to their satisfaction.

To take advantage of this service, WSIA members and their claims administrators would e-mail or call MedPlus (1-888-803-0201) to connect with a care coordinator, and either refer a worker or learn more information. The claims process quickly unfolds from there.
