What This Program is About
This presentation, by a workers’ compensation defense attorney, will walk you through the various phases of a claim, from initial claim filing, claim closure, and appeals to address the numerous legal and medical triggers for paying and terminating disability benefits. We will focus on when disability benefits may be due and the circumstances under which you can terminate such benefits. The discussion will continue into closure and appeal phase of the claim to address settlements in context. You will learn the mechanisms, considerations, and barriers to settlement, how to structure settlements to provide the most protection, and other non-workers’ compensation factors that must be considered. A question and answer period will complete the presentation.
