The Washington Self-Insurers Association has a related Political Action Committee (PAC) which makes contributions to state offices, including state legislative candidates, and statewide candidates such as Governor, Lt. Governor, and Washington Supreme Court justices. The WSIA Legislative Fund was established in 1994, and has contributed thousands of dollars to thoughtful political candidates who are supportive of positive changes to the workers' compensation system, or who are generally supportive on business issues. Contributions are also occasionally made to the four caucuses of the Legislature.
Contributions to candidates are prioritized to garner the most attention.
