Hello Members!
Summer seems to have arrived. I hope are able to get outside and enjoy it!
Let me catch you up on what is going on in the training world. Our current WWCP Claims Management course is on the homestretch, with the final exam on June 30th. Thanks to the facilitators and instructors who have helped make this a successful course.
The next Certification Test is coming up on June 17th. Our Certification Review class is held the two days prior to the test at the Phoenix Inn in Olympia. The registration cut off is June 5th. I’ll report the test results in my next column.
The remaining webinars are finally confirmed and scheduled. On 6/29/09, we will present a webinar on spine injuries from a physiatrist’s perspective. On 7/8/09, we will present a webinar on injury causation from a biomechanical engineer’s perspective. Both webinars are posted on our website for registration. Please use the following links to learn the details and get registered!

Thank you all for responding to the surveys I have sent out over the last couple months. I have determined the most requested locations for our 2009-10 Washington Workers’ Compensation Professional classes and am working to confirm facilities and facilitators. Classes will begin in the fall, with WWCP Statutory Requirements running from 9/8/09 – 12/1/09; WWCP Medical Information running from 1/5/10 – 3/30/10; and WWCP Claims Management, running from 4/6/10 – 6/29/10. I will announce the locations in my next column and probably via email, as well. Registration will be posted on our website about 6 weeks in advance of each course.
Lastly, just a reminder that our claims training series, currently known as Claims 1 – 4, is being completely overhauled. The IIU Board of Regents, class instructors and I are working diligently to get the curriculum finished this summer. The new classes, Introduction to Claims Management and Complex Claims Management, are both two-day courses which will be held on October 12-13 and November 16-17 at the Radisson Hotel in SeaTac. Watch for an email with more details coming soon. Registration will be posted on our website about 6 weeks before each course.
That's all for now ... until July . . .
