Hello Members!
Welcome Spring! I hope you are all enjoying the season of renewal. Here is what is happening in the WSIA training world:
Certification Review Class: We recently completed our March class. We only had 5 students this time and only 6 people took the Department’s test. Of the 6 who tested, 5 passed and 1 failed. The pass rate for our class was 80% (4 of 5 passed). This was our highest pass rate ever!! The overall pass rate for all testers was 83%, also, an all-time high. Congratulations to those of you who passed. If you didn’t pass…try, try again.
The next test is on June 16th. If you are approved to take the test I urge you to take our two day review course on June 14th and 15th. It will be open for registration on our website about 6 weeks before the test. Don’t take the test without taking the class!!
WWCP: The Medical Information section has now ended. The Claims Management section starts on April 6th. The courses are offered in Renton and Portland. This is an excellent class which will improve your claims management skills and knowledge and help you become a more well-rounded claims person.
Advanced Webinars: We have now completed two of our four advanced webinars. Both had good attendance and were well received. The final two advanced webinars, IIU’s Advanced Webinar – The Vocational Improvement Project - Vocational and Legal Challenges from Assessment to the Board – April 14th and IIU’s Advanced Webinar – Mental Health and Psychiatric Issues in Workers’ Compensation – May 26th, are coming up soon. The Department awarded 1.5 claims processing CECs to the April webinar and .5 claims processing and .5 medical CECs to the May webinar. You don’t want to miss these. Register today!
